One of the best things about the weekend is that I can have a nanna nap in the middle of the afternoon. Love, love, love.
Friday was the end of year party. I don't know if it's just the party, or the time of year, but it always seems to be eventful in one way or another. I had fun dancing and catching up with people, and also in observing some of the faux pas that inevitably occur in a large social gathering. Here are the rules I am adding to the etiquette guide:
1. If a person is dancing on the dance floor, don't walk over and try to start a conversation if you are not dancing. Coming over to talk while dancing is ok. Coming over to dance is ok. But making me stop dancing because you want to talk is not cool.
2. Good food > ordinary food that aligns with the event theme. Even though an event is circus themed, I expect better food than mini hot dogs, party pies, mini pizzas and fairy floss.
One thing I realised at the party was that I'm okay now about the guy that I'd been blogging about earlier this year. There were no words, but I was dancing on the dance floor and he was dancing with his girlfriend, and it was fine. Just a really neutral nothingness. So, things are good.
Went karaokeing last night and it was good except that one of the girls was really good. Like, there were some songs where you couldn't tell whether it was her singing or Alicia Keys singing type of good. Slightly depressing but wow, just wow!
This is the last week of work for the year! I'm not ready for the coldness of Japan but getting super excited now!
